|科目の目的・到達目標||This module will set a target that students will be able to learn the skill of writing a short essay. By the end of the module, students should be able to foster the ability: (a) to write clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects related to one’s interests, (b) to write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view, and (c) to construct a chain of reasoned argument. This module will also give each student the task to write a short essay based on a particular topic about which the tutor will make a statement in advance. Along with that, there will sometimes be some quizzes in class.|

|評価方法||Evaluation of this module will consist of two parts; attendance and term-end paper. The former will include the points of preparation and presentation for the class, and quizzes. The latter will be an essay based on a particular topic about which the tutor will make a statement. Students also check the rule of the classroom in 2016.|
