|科目の目的・到達目標||Students will read straightforward factual texts on subjects related to their field and interest with a satisfactory level of comprehension. By the end of the course, students should have an active reading vocabulary and be able to read with a large degree of independence and speed of reading.
|授業の概要||In this class, students are divided into small groups and work on reading comprehension questions together. Active participation in the group activities will be required. Students are also expected to be able to read texts critically and summarize what is communicated in the texts in their own words.

|授業外の学習活動||Preparation: Go through each week’s reading material before the class and check the vocabulary. Every week, students will read 10-15 pages. It is STRONGLY recommended to develop the habit of reading at least 2 pages every day. Doing a small amount EVERY DAY will benefit more than completing a huge amount in one day.
