|科目の目的・到達目標||The goal of the class will be to enable all students to communicate well in English up to and including the intermediate level. To reach this goal, the teacher will try to provide a motivating environment where the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) will be taught in a methodical way. The emphasis, however, will be on the speaking skill. The teacher will try to get a good balance of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and the four language skills in the class. The teacher wants to create a motivating and interesting classroom. The teacher would like all students to learn useful English, which will help them now and in the future.|

|授業計画||1．Theme: The rich and poor. Listening and reading: vowel sounds and a famous clothes chain. Grammar and vocabulary: present perfect and clothes.
2．Theme: Family conflicts. Listening and speaking: parents and teenagers. Grammar: verb phrases and present perfect simple.
3．Theme: The fast life. Listening and reading: life in the modern world. Grammar and vocabulary: comparatives and time expressions.
4．Theme: Big Cities. Listening and reading: life in big cities. Grammar and vocabulary: superlatives. Speaking: the best and worst.
5．Theme: Practical English. Listening and speaking: directions and descriptions.
6．Theme: Revise and check. Listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary: revision and short test.
7．Theme: Social occasions. Listening and speaking: using the infinitive. Pronunciation and speaking: two-and three-syllable words.
8．Theme: Feeling good. Reading and listening: the sound of music. Vocabulary and speaking: verb forms.
9．Theme: Money and work. Listening: an English speaker in Poland. Grammar and speaking: Have you ever...? Vocabulary: modifiers.
10．Theme: Sport. Reading and speaking: sporting moments. Listening song.
11．Theme: Practical English. Listening and Speaking: shopping. Reading and writing: emails.

15．Whole year review
|評価方法||Grading will be done on the continuous assessment model; this means the teacher will evaluate each student on a weekly basis. In other words, grading will be based on these lines: 40% attendance, 40% class participation, and 20% test results. The teacher might give a short English test occasionally. There will also be one longer test at the end of the first term, and another at the end of the year. The teacher expects each student to study hard in the class. Good attendance and good participation will earn the student a higher grade.|
|テキスト・参考文献等||The teacher will bring instructional materials to each class. These materials may be given one week in advance of the next class. This may happen after the first class.|
|授業外の学習活動||The teacher may give homework or assignments. If this is the case, the teacher expects each student to do the homework or assignment.|
