|科目の目的・到達目標||This course is aimed at having students produce good, clear, and error-free English. It is expected that those students attending this course will markedly improve their writing skills by its conclusion. Paragraph structure and essays will be investigated, including the aspects of unity, coherence and proper punctuation. On the creative side, storytelling and metaphors will be included.|
|授業の概要||Besides using the textbook, students will do editing exercises and free writing, which will be corrected and returned by the instructor. By learning various types of introduction and conclusion functions, the learners will be better able to engage the readers. By the use of transitions and appositives, writers will be able to produce easier to understand essays.|
|授業計画||１. Introductory class. Class expectations and seats. Preview/ using peer interviews.
２. Theme- Sentences. Grammar point- using conjunctions.
３. Confidence/ using prepositions.
４. Understanding/ using paragraphs.
５. Defeat/ using gerunds.
６. Mistakes/ using noun phrases.
７. Kindness/ using quotations.
８. Machines/ using personification.
９. Gifts/ using sentence simplicity.
10. Danger/ using appositives.
11. Surprises/ using sentence embedding.
12. Obstacles/ using topic sentences.
13. Vacations/ using plans.
14. False Impressions/ using editing
