|科目の目的・到達目標||This is a general English course aimed at improving students' speaking, listening, pronunciation and vocabulary skills with a focus on speaking and listening, using everyday natural expressions in a variety of conversational situations.|
|授業の概要||This is primarily a listening and speaking course using everyday situations. The main focus is to concentrate on expressing oneself using natural, everyday english expressions. There are 8 modules and 32 units. Each unit starts with vocabulary needed for the unit, followed by a conversation that is first listened to, then practised. Next, a language booster section highlights the target language in the conversation most needed for the unit. This is then followed by another listening exercise with specific questions to answer, and a pronunciation exercise to highlight the stress and intonation. The final part is a speaking exercise where students are to use the vocabulary, language structures and functions plus information presented, in pair work exercises, then a group work exercise. At the end of each module (4 units) there is a video section using the language functions taught in the module. Worksheets accompany each unit, some will be done in class and some will be given for homework.|
