授業の概要

この科目は、問題解決力(外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる)の修得に関わる科目です。
<概要>
This class meets twice a week. In general, one day a week will be spent reading a passage in the textbook, doing related exercises, and having very short group discussions. The other day will mainly be devoted to longer group discussions. Group discussions will generally be followed by presentations.

To give students the chance to discuss important topics
To give them opportunities to make formal presentations
To help them to read as well as write at a high level

To help them to make presentations that are logical and backed up by facts and evidence

As homework, students will be asked to read passages in the text before we read them together in class. In addition, they will write two essays and complete a number of short written assignments.

・毎週1回の授業が半期(前期または後期)または通年で完結するもの。1週間あたり1時間の学修を基本とします。
・毎週2回の授業が半期(前期または後期)で完結するもの。1週間あたり2時間の学修を基本とします。
成績評価の方法・基準
種別 | 割合(%) | 評価基準 |

レポート | 40 | Students will write two essays on topics related to issues that are discussed in class. Both essays will be worth twenty percent of students' grades. Essays will be graded on the basis of organization, clarity, and content. |
平常点 | 60 | Forty percent of students' grades will be based on class participation. In addition, twenty percent of their grades will be determined by the quality of their work on short written assignments that will uploaded onto the Surveys part of Manaba. |
