|授業の概要||The main objective of this course is for students to improve their English proficiency to communicate using grammatically correct simple and complex sentence structures. The instructor helps them develop English grammar and communication skills they need in a variety of situations of daily and professional life. The textbook we use consists of 142 units, each of which concentrates on a particular basic point of English grammar. It seems impossible to deal with all of them in only 30 lessons so this course will choose from 142 units especially important units for students majoring in English. Each unit is composed of two facing pages. On the left-hand page there are explanations and examples, whereas on the right-hand page there are a lot of excercises. Students are required to read & understand the explanations and the examples of at least 4 to 5 units and do the excercises before each class. The class is conducted mainly in English but the instructor sometimes support in Japanese the students who are not used to terminologies and explanations in English.|
|授業計画||Following the class schedule, students are required to read the explanations on the right-hand pages and do the excercises on the left-hand pages before each class.
