|科目の目的・到達目標||The Academic Presentations courses aim to help students successfully prepare and present researched and documented materials in the Policy Sciences and Cultural Studies. Using skills introduced in the Writing courses and reinforced here, students will select topics related to their own academic interests, locate relevant sources, and relying on these and other materials prepare individual presentations that aim to inform, persuade, or challenge the assumptions of an audience. Students will be encouraged to make use of the audio-visual and computer resources of the Faculty, including presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint, and in presenting their research to provide, accurately following a standard documentary form, a full list of sources consulted.|
|授業の概要||Students will select specific topics to suit their own academic interests and concerns and make individual presentations utilizing all the skills they acquired in the first semester. Additionally, this semester students will be using PowerPoint for both presentations. The first presentation will use the rhetorical skills gained in the first semester. The second presentation will be in a "pechakucha" style. Each student will also be assessed for their participation in class and as audience members.
