|科目の目的・到達目標||The English Writing courses aim to prepare students for tasks in a variety of settings in which they may be expected to express themselves in written English. Students will work to improve accuracy in grammar and syntax, and will practice composing English paragraphs and short personal and academic essays, in the latter incorporating and documenting material drawn from one or more sources.|
|授業の概要||This course focuses on applying the writing skills learned in the first term to create natural and precise English compositions. Using English-language sources for context, students will study tone and style in different forms of writing. Particular attention will be paid to developing editing skills.

Note: Students who are absent four times or more during the semester will receive the grade ‘F’.
|テキスト・参考文献等||No textbooks required, however students should bring an English-Japanese dictionary (electronic or print) to every class.
|授業外の学習活動||Students are required to spend at least an hour per week studying textbooks, class materials, or handouts in order to prepare for the next class and also to review material studied in previous classes.|
