|科目の目的・到達目標||The Academic Writing courses begin with practice in the development of English paragraphs and end with the presentation of researched and documented papers in the Policy Sciences and Cultural Studies. Work in the courses will include activities designed to help students select and limit topics related to their own academic interests, to use reference materials available in the Chuo libraries to locate sources related to these, and relying on these and other sources to compose essays that are fully and fairly documented.|
|授業の概要||This course will guide students through the preparation of engaging and persuasive academic essays, focusing primarily on essay planning and structure. Students will work in groups and independently to select appropriate research topics, construct outlines, edit essay drafts, and create reference lists.|

Note: Students who are absent four times or more during the semester will receive the grade ‘F’.
