This class helps students practice their basic discussion skills. Students will be exposed to different opinions on various controversial issues and learn to think critically and express their views. It will help students think about a topic in depth, carry out necessary research, construct their views logically, and listen to other students' opinions attentively before giving their own opinion in their own words.
In this course, students will read a couple of short texts that introduce different opinions about the topic.
They will be encouraged to deepen their understanding about the topic presented through listening and comprehension exercises. Discussion tactics will help them learn many expressions commonly used in discussion and debate, prepare their own ideas and write sentences before presenting them in class.
