| 科目の目的・到達目標 | The English Reading courses aim to help students become comfortable with English texts of general interest, including newspaper and magazine articles and other works in prose, either fiction or non-fiction, and by the second year with specialised materials in the Policy Sciences and Cultural Studies. Work in the courses will include activities designed to help students understand the basic structures of English sentences, paragraphs, and essays, improve reading comprehension and speed, and identify and form critical judgements about the key issues and main ideas in the texts under discussion. |
| 授業の概要 | The goal of this class is to acquire the basic English language skills required for the students to build vocabulary and comprehension skills on Social and Cultural Issues. This class is also designed to help students how to read the English text in a logical ways. Each class contains: Vocabulary check, reading the material, listening to the recording, pair and group working for the summaries and comprehension questions and discussion on the topic of the class. English vocabulary test will be held every week. |
