科目の目的・到達目標
This reading class aims to stimulate students' interest in Western philosophers and as a reseacher of the Faculty of Policy Studies, students are required to find their own research theme in relation with Policy Studies and Culture, and express their opinions by using the ideas of Western philosophers studied in class.

授業の概要 This couse (1b) aims to improve your reading skill. In this class you will read the textbook on the history of Western philosophy. In each class you will read the text, and exchange opinions on the content of the textbook. Toward the end of the term, you are supposed to find your own research topic, and give presentation on the theme.

Note: Students who are absent four times or more during the semester will receive the grade ‘F’.


テキスト・参考文献等 The same as the first semester.
授業外の学習活動
 Students are required to spend at least an hour per week studying textbooks, class materials, or handouts in order to prepare for the next class and also to review material studied in previous classes. Also they are required to find their own research theme in relation with what they have learnt in class.
