|科目の目的・到達目標||The aim of the couse is to famialize students with a variety of topics coverd in TED talks. Students will have opportunities to find and watch TED talks of their interest, and urged to have and express their own perspectives on the issues. Activities in the course help students to understand paragraph and essay structure in English, learn effective reading skills such as skimming, and improve general reading comprehension skills.|
|授業の概要||The course uses a textbook which covers a variety of topics and ideas presented at TED conference. Students will read the texts related to the TED talk topics and develop their reading skills. In addition, students will initiate a project and requested to make poster presentations relating to the unit topic. In reading texts, students will discuss their understanding of the texts and aim at explaining their thoughts in their own words.|
