授業の概要

＜学位授与方針と当該授業科目の関連＞
この科目は、問題解決力（外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる）の修得に関わる科目です。
＜概要＞
This is a content based English language course which uses film as content. We study the horror film and try to understand why people both enjoy and need these films. Topics studied include what these films say about class and gender relations.

To give students the chance to discuss important topics.
To give them opportunities to make formal presentations.

到達目標

This class will focus on Listening, Reading, and also Speaking.
To help students get to a point where they can discuss and debate serious topics with a high level of sophistication.
To help them to make presentations that are logical and backed up by facts and evidence.

Handouts will be provided by the instructor which students are required to keep in a well organised notebook. Students should have a good electronic dictionary in class.

Honest intellectual curiosity and a sense of fun are all that a student needs to take this class. No previous knowledge of films is necessary.
