授業の概要
The course is designed to help students develop the ability to write research papers while effectively using outside sources. It also emphasizes understanding the rules of APA or MLA formatting.
科目目的
Students will learn research paper rules through guided exercises and instructor-provided materials, applying these skills to craft their own research paper. By the end of the course, they must submit a 1,500-word academic paper with clear evidence (e.g., data).
到達目標
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
(a) write a research paper that effectively incorporates others’ work;
(b) locate appropriate resources for their own paper topics;
(c) understand the rules of academic writing, including in-text citations and reference lists; and
(d) recognize what constitutes plagiarism and how to avoid it.
