授業の概要
Students will undertake various integrated activities using English to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills comprehensively. All class activities are conducted in English.
The annual theme of the course is "globalization." We often hear about "globalization," "global society," and "global citizens." What do they mean? When did globalization begin? What are the key characteristics? Based on an introductory textbook, students will familiarize themselves with key concepts and history of globalization, and develop their academic English skills.
科目目的
This is a required English course for first-year students,positioned as a global subject in the curriculum. The course is reserved for students with high English proficiency.
The course aims
To improve and expand students’ academic English language skills.
To enable them to write, present and discuss in English about what they have read and researched.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:
1. develop understanding of globalization and international migration
2. develop communication skills needed in order to work effectively with people whose personality or culture may be different from you.
3. develop academic writing skills
