授業の概要
This course is focused on exploring language and various topics related to the SDGs, through multimedia (videos and texts) as input stimuli, while emphasizing the cultivation of expressive output through discussions and presentations, script-writing tasks, and collaborative activities. The course structure and activities may be adjusted to suit the evolving needs and progress of the students.
科目目的
- Develop a nuanced understanding of language derived from multimedia sources about a variety of topics related to the SDGs
- Enhance speaking, writing, and critical thinking skills by actively engaging in discussing and exchanging ideas.
- Gain language proficiency in applying learned vocabulary and structures in discussions
- Gain confidence in expressing and articulating ideas inspired by the provided materials.
- Become more confident giving scripted and then less scripted presentations
- Cultivate a collaborative and interactive approach to language learning.
到達目標
By the end of the course, students will have enhanced their communication skills by actively participating in activities such as note-taking, discussions, and presentations, all centered around SDG-related multimedia. Students will also have cultivated their ability to collaborative effectively, while sharpening their creativity and critical thinking skills on a variety of cultural and global issues.
