授業の概要
This seminar provides an in-depth exploration of the complex interplay between poverty, inequality, and sustainable development. Participants will engage with theoretical frameworks, empirical evidence, and case studies to understand the root causes and consequences of poverty and inequality, and explore strategies for promoting sustainable development that addresses these challenges. The course will also examine the role of various stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, and civil society, in shaping policies and initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and inequality while fostering sustainable development.
科目目的
This course aims to help student gain awareness and understanding of global problem of poverty and inequality. Through this course, the students will learn diverse political, economic, social conditions around the world. The students will also learn the usage of various development-related indicators. This course also encourages students to reflect about their possible contribution in solving the problem of poverty and inequality. This course also aims to train students on how to conduct academic research.
