授業の概要

この科目は、問題解決力(外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる)の修得に関わる科目です。
<概要>
This course will cover various familiar topics in spoken English, such as: Spending habits, needs, and wants. Different lifestyles, setting priorities. Environmental issues, solutions to future problems. Conservation projects and issues. Life in the past. Historical facts and wonders.Travel, cultural events, and organizing trips. English at the airport. Career choices. Job interviews. Career planning. Personal profiles for work. Celebrations, holidays, and rituals.
Classes will involve listening tasks, conversation practice, and weekly presentations to small groups. Homework will involve notebook writing to prepare for spoken presentations, as well as vocabulary work and listening tasks.

成績評価の方法・基準(備考)
Homework assignments (Notebook and other work) will be posted on Manaba every week. Assignments will be collected online before the following class. In principle, late submissions will not be accepted. These will count towards your final grade.
Students must get a B5 notebook (ノート)for this class exclusively. This notebook will be used for writing weekly presentations and other notes to prepare for conversation & discussion, as well as recording vocabulary and other notes.
平常点: Students are expected to participate in class activities actively. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of class AND have not contacted the instructor about the delay by email or over Manaba will be counted absent.
