授業の概要

この科目は、問題解決力（外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる）の修得に関わる科目です。
＜概要＞
This is a content based English language course which uses film as content. We study the Science Fiction film. We try to understand why people both enjoy and need these films. Topics studied include why man explores his own world and others and what makes us either fear or worship outsiders.

This course focuses on helping students develop active listening and note taking skills as well as learning to speak in pairs, small groups and in front of the whole class.

２．Explorations Part I : Our World: Jules Verne: The father of science fiction. A look at the literary tradition. Exploring our world Journey to the Center of the Earth . Why does man explore? Women in S.F. 20,000 Leagues under the Sea,

Handouts will be provided by the instructor which students are required to keep in a well organised notebook. Students should have a good electronic dictionary in class.

Honest intellectual curiosity and a sense of fun are all that a student needs to take this class. No previous knowledge of films is necessary.
