授業の概要

＜学位授与方針と当該授業科目の関連＞
この科目は、問題解決力（外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる）の修得に関わる科目です。
＜概要＞
In this class, students will do a good deal of reading, and as such will have a chance to improve their reading skills and enrich their vocabularies. Group discussions will enable students to improve their speaking and listening skills, and will also allow them to express their opinions on a variety of topics. In general, discussions will be followed by short group presentations.

As homework, students will read passages in the text that we will later read together in class. In addition, they will be asked to complete short assignments that will be uploaded onto the "Surveys" part of Manaba and to write two essays.
