English is used by the teacher at all times, and it is expected that students only use English.
授業の概要
Communicative ability is the basis of all business, both in oral communication, and in the ability to write ideas clearly and in a proper sequence. Being able to make a confident presentation with lots of eye contact and body language is an important task we will practice in class.
科目目的
This Business Class will equip students to communicate well in English orally, in writing and in giving presentations.

1. Mastering Business Terminology: Achieve a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific vocabulary and terminology used in diverse business contexts.
2. Effective Business Writing: Demonstrate proficiency in crafting clear, concise, and professionally formatted business emails, memos, and reports.
3. Confident Oral Communication: Attain confidence and clarity in oral communication, participating actively in meetings, presentations, and discussions.
4. Leadership in Meetings and Presentations: Develop leadership skills in facilitating and leading productive business meetings and delivering impactful presentations.

Week 1: Introduction to the class, deciding speech days.
Week 2: Introduction to poster presentations, shouting dictation
Week 3: individual presentations in class, Grammar quiz 1, shouting dictation
Week 4: individual presentations in class, Grammar quiz 2, shouting dictation
Week 5: individual presentations in class, poster presentation practice, Grammar quiz 3
Week 6: individual presentations in class. Poster presentation preparation, Grammar quiz 4
Week 7: Poster presentation day
Week 8: individual presentations in class, poster presentation for remaining students. Grammar quiz 5.
Week 9: presentations in class, Grammar quiz 6, Shouting dictation.
Week 10: individual presentations in class, Grammar quiz 7, Shouting dictation.
Week 11: individual presentations in class, Grammar quiz 8, 2nd project preparation.
Week 12: individual presentations in class, Grammar quiz 9, 2nd project preparation.
Week 13: Final project due, final individual presentations.
Week 14: Final presentations, final project due.

This is case by case, but reviewing class material and preparing in advance for projects / presentations is the best method.
Students will need to prepare group projects AND for their own individual presentation to the class.

This will vary, so preparing for an individual presentation, or a group presentation takes a different amount of time. Please try to spend 4 hours a week in English based study.
毎週１回の授業が半期（前期または後期）または通年で完結するもの。１週間あたり４時間の学修を基本とします。

The whole class will attempt to be student orientated with minimal teacher talk, and maximum student participation. This will take the form of pair work, group work, and any activity which maximises students taking an active role in the lesson.
