授業の概要
Students will learn the necessary English skills, required to perform a variety of functions within an international business setting. Each lesson will focus upon a specific function and the necessary skills required to perform that function. A variety of units within the text will provide simple case studies, which students will explore and discuss to practice communication skills. Students will be expected to develop their listening skills and vocabulary, by listening to short business related conversations. A short quiz is given at the end of each unit to test listening and vocabulary development. Students are encouraged to keep a vocabulary notebook. At the beginning of each lesson, students will present a brief summary of a short business article they have read. Students are expected to demonstrate their understanding of skills taught, by giving a presentation or equivalent type of activity.

【実務経験有の場合】実務経験の内容
I have over 20 years teaching experience in ESL at the university level in Japan, and formal graduate education in teaching ESL.
【実務経験有の場合】実務経験に関連する授業内容
I have taught both Japanese and non-Japanese speakers ESL at the tertiary level in a post- secondary institution. For example, I have taught many students from European and Asian countries, such as, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Taiwan, China, and Korea to name a few. I have found that Japanese and foreign students complement each others learning styles in the classroom, thru cross-cultural exchanges and discussion.
Students are exposed to a variety of pedagogical approaches to learning, both traditional and technology based, in order to achieve the expected learning outcome.
