授業の概要
The Reading Focus course teaches deep English reading and associated writing skills, with an emphasis on the logical structure of texts. Students are taught how to understand and use written information in a logical and accurate way. Students are also taught problem-solving skills relevant to the field of global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and exploring ways to solve them.
The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals are:
- No poverty
- Zero hunger
- Good health and well-being

- Industry, innovation, and infrastructure

科目目的
This course focuses on developing your communication amd intercultural skills by learning about real people and places, experiencing the world, and exploring issues that matter.
到達目標
By the end of the course, students will have improved their ability to read texts in a deep, logical, and comprehensive way. They will have read a variety of types and genres of texts (some of which the students may have themselves selected through basic research exercises) relevant to the SDGs and will understand the meaning of the SDGs, their interconnections, and their importance in the modern world.
