授業の概要
＜学位授与方針と当該授業科目の関連＞
この科目は、問題解決力（外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる）の修得に関わる科目です。
＜概要＞
During this course, students will continue to develop their discussion skills. They will also improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing fluency. Students will critically discuss and give opinions on a variety of new topics in small groups. Students will also develop their presentation skills.

To encourage students to converse in everyday situations.
To give them the necessary language to express opinions confidently.
To bring their listening and speaking skills to an intermediate (collegiate) level.
To help students increase their reading and writing speed for test taking.

Students should review their new discussion skills and write short summaries of their discussions on the topics. Students will prepare individual presentations presented to small groups 4 times per semester. If a student’s absence on the day of a presentation is excused by the department, the student may complete an alternate assignment outside of class for evaluation.

成績評価の方法・基準（備考）
授業開始後30分以上の遅刻、および授業終了30分以前の早退は欠席とみなし、遅刻・早退2回で欠席1回とみなします。全14回の授業のうち、10回以上の出席を評価対象とするための最低条件とします（＝欠席は４回まで）。
また、授業中で態度によっては（忘れ物、居眠り、過度な私語、無断退室、私的なスマートフォンの使用等）たとえ出席していても欠席扱いにする場合があります。
