成績評価の方法・基準
種別 | 割合(%) | 評価基準 |
---|---|---|
中間試験 | 20 | Mid-term paper (20%): Each student selects a topic relating to globalization and writes a paper. The mid-term paper should be 3-4 pages (1,000 – 1,200 words, including reference), double-spaced, and use 12 points with Times New Roman (or Cambria, Georgia) font. The following items are examples of the writing topic. - What is the meaning of global citizenship? - Is globalization desirable for our society? - How could we decrease global environmental problems? - What are the most significant environmental concerns facing the international community? - Do information technologies enhance globalization, and is it good for our society? - How to prevent infectious diseases (such as COVID-19) in this globalized society? - Define cultural relativism and universalism, which side are you on, and provide an example regarding human rights. The topics above are examples. Students could find their topic for the paper, which must be related to globalization. Don't hesitate to contact the instructor if you are unsure about the topic. |
期末試験(到達度確認) | 20 | Final Paper (20%): About five students will be grouped for the final paper (presentation and paper). The instructor will assign students to a group. Each group selects a global leader, global company, or international organization and researches them. The paper might include how a person (a company) becomes a global leader (a global company), what are the person’s achievements, what makes the person (the company) a global leader or global company, and what are functions of the international organization. Each group could decide its subtopics. The final paper should be about ten pages (about 2,500 words including reference), double-spaced, and use 12 points with Times New Roman (or Cambria, Georgia) font. |
平常点 | 10 | Class Participation (10%): Class participation includes attendance and participation in class discussions. Class attendance is required. Any unexpected absence will result in a 20% reduction in the class participation grade. If a student misses a class five times, they will get zero (0) points for class participation. Absence due to a medical emergency is allowed. Students should submit documentation such as a doctor’s note in such cases. Being 30 minutes late is considered absent from the class. Perfect attendance, however, does not guarantee an excellent class participation grade. Students must read the assigned reading materials and actively participate in class discussions. Active participation will lead to a high score in-class participation. This grade is determined at the instructor’s discretion. |
その他 | 50 | 50% of your grade will be decided by the score of CSU-San Marco's English program. |
