授業の概要
This course examines the theories and practices of Japanese-style and US-style Human Resources Management. Case studies can be used to develop problem-solving, and decision-making skills and improve written and oral communication skills.
This course consists of five modules, and each module is composed of three units.
Major topics include HR Management in Organizations, Recruiting and Selecting, Training and Global Leadership Development, Performance Management and Appraisal, Total Rewards and Compensation.

To enable the students to understand the major functional areas in both HRM and IHRM.

After completing this course, students will have acquired:
• familiarity with interaction between external/internal environment, strategy and HRM
•understand the key elements of the HR function (e.g., recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and appraisal, total rewards and compensation, etc.)
•apply the theories and practices of HRM gained through this course to the discussion of major management issues and the solution of cross cultural problems.

Students are expected to read a book chapter and case study at home and be ready to share your own opinions in class.
