授業の概要
This course designs to write a graduation thesis. Students are expected to explore broad research topics and research methods in the public management field. Based on their research interest, students find their research questions, review previous literature, and select a research method (s) during this course. Various topics relating to public management, public human resource management, and public policy could be covered in this class, such as leadership, organizational culture, performance management, public service motivation, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intention, merit system, corruption, and whistleblower protection. All students will learn basic research skills and each student will develop their own reading list depending on their research interest and questions. Students will further progress their thesis writing process focusing on data collection, data analysis, and finalizing the whole thesis in Seminar II, III, IV, and V.
科目目的
The objectives of this class are to let students understand what research is, explore their own research interests, find research questions, review previous literature, and choose appropriate research methods to write their thesis. Students will submit a research proposal at the end of the course.
