授業の概要
We will follow the step-by-step instructions in the textbook to learn the basic skills in academic essay writing.
Notes:
* Students are required to actively participate in pair work and group work.
* Students are strongly encouraged to speak in English in class.
科目目的
In the fall semester, students will learn how to write comparison-contrast essays and persuasive essays. They will also learn how to quote and paraphrase.
到達目標
Our goals for the semester are to:
(1) write a five-paragraph comparison-contrast essay
(2) write a five-paragraph persuasive essay
(3) learn how to quote and paraphrase.

授業時間外の課題として、Google Document上にエッセイの下書きを書くことを求められます。

・毎週１回の授業が半期（前期または後期）または通年で完結するもの。１週間あたり４時間の学修を基本とします。
・毎週２回の授業が半期（前期または後期）で完結するもの。１週間あたり８時間の学修を基本とします。
