授業の概要
This course examines how gender and sexuality issues emerge, are processed, and are practiced within the context of East Asia. We will explore how conventional understandings of gender, sexuality, marriage, family, and employment are challenged in rapidly evolving Asian societies, particularly focusing on how shifting socio-cultural, political, and economic contexts have shaped gender and sexual relations.

This class will enable you to:
- Critically analyze gender and sexuality issues within the context of globalization in East Asia, specifically focusing on Japan and China.
- Construct persuasive arguments supported by relevant data and academic evidence.
- Evaluate diverse perspectives on gender and sexuality to develop a nuanced understanding of the field.

Students are required to prepare assigned readings for the class discussion and submit their analysis on manaba before the class.
