授業の概要

This course uses news to help students understand English in a visual context. By learning from real-world examples, students are exposed to natural expressions and speech. Students will read relevant background information, study vocabulary and colloquial expressions from videos, and improve English communication and critical thinking skills.

科目目的

This course focuses especially on improving listening skills. This involves extensive practice in listening to the dialogues and narrations in the news. Students may also learn colloquial expressions and idioms, as well as review writing.

到達目標

By the end of the course, all students will have had extensive practice in listening to colloquial English and reviewing writing.
They will have learnt how to use idioms and write reviews effectively.
