授業の概要

この科目は、問題解決力(外国語とコミュニケーションの能力及びコンピューターを利用した統計・情報処理と分析の能力を用いて、科学技術及び社会の急速な変化に対応しながら、さまざまな問題を解決することができる)の修得に関わる科目です。
<概要>
This is a one semester, four-skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) course with a focus on learning how to research, create and give effective presentations of various types in English.
科目目的
The aim of this course is to develop the ability to do the following:
1. Research and find suitable material from a variety of sources for the purpose of developing presentations;
2. Create and deliver effective presentations in English;
3. Analyse and critique presentations as a member of the audience.

1. To be able to give highly effective academic, business and/or personal presentations in English.
2. To be able to write well-structured scripts for use as presentations.
3. To be able to analyse and evaluate scripts and presentations for their strengths and weaknesses.
4. To be able to improve weak scripts and presentations.
5. To be able to use various modes of writing and presentation, including description, narrative, persuasion, and demonstration.

Absences and lateness will result in a reduction in the total percentage. There is an absence limit of 30% of classes and lateness limit of 20 minutes.
