この科目は、現実把握力(経済学の専門知識及び社会・人文・自然科学の知識教養に裏付けられた広い視野に立った柔軟な知性に基づき、現実の経済現象を的確に把握することができる)の修得に関わる科目です。
<概要>
This is a course on American literature. Students will learn about a number of American authors, and will read and discuss three novels. Discussions will take place in small groups, and these group discussions will be followed by short presentations.

To give them opportunities to share ideas with other students

Novels will be read as homework. In addition, students will be asked to complete two relatively short written assignments related to novels and to write a final paper.

・毎週1回の授業が半期(前期または後期)または通年で完結するもの。1週間あたり4時間の学修を基本とします。
・毎週2回の授業が半期(前期または後期)で完結するもの。1週間あたり8時間の学修を基本とします。
成績評価の方法・基準

レポート | 40 | The final paper in this course will be an essay related to one of the novels that we discuss in class. It must be written in English, but every effort will be made to grade essays based on content and not language ability. |
平常点 | 60 | Forty percent of students' grades will be based on class participation. In addition, twenty percent of their grades will be determined by the quality of their work on two relatively short written assignments that will be uploaded onto the Surveys part of Manaba. |
