科目目的
This course focuses a holistic understanding of the text. Students learn to find keywords, key phrases, and making connections by note-making and mind mapping.
As with the companion course Performance Focus for SDGs, readings in the course will be on themes relevant to SDGs, and the course will also include SDG-themed activities and projects which extend over several weeks.
到達目標
By the end of the course, students will have improved their ability to read texts in a deep, logical, and comprehensive way. They will have read a variety of types and genres of texts (some of which the students may have themselves selected through their research projects) relevant to SDGs, and will understand the meaning of SDGs, their interconnections, and their importance in the global context.
They will also have learnt how to respond analytically to their readings through summary and opinion-based writing.
