その他特記事項
Class attendance is mandatory, and absences without valid reasons are strongly discouraged. This course is cumulative in nature and builds on previously learned material. Without a solid foundation in basic concepts and consistent engagement—through regular attendance, careful reading and review of all materials (including the textbook and slides), and completion of homework assignments—it can be extremely challenging to keep up with the course. Simply attending class does not guarantee credit.
Students’ health issues may result in excusable absences; however, they cannot be used to request a lower standard for earning course credit.
Students are expected to regularly check their university email and Manaba for important notices and announcements. Effective communication is essential for resolving any issues that may arise. When writing an email, be sure to include a clear and informative subject line, your full name, student ID, and an indication that your message concerns this course. Most importantly, write concisely and clearly state the purpose of your message. Students are strongly encouraged to proofread your email in English before sending it.
Final grades are primarily based on homework performance and exam scores. This course includes a substantial amount of homework in MindTap after each chapter, which often requires a significant amount of time to complete. Do not miss any assignments, and regularly check Manaba announcements for deadlines. Do not wait until just before the exams to begin studying, as exam questions are designed to test deep conceptual understanding and analytical skills rather than memorization.
Pasting course materials into AI chatbots or uploading them to the public domain is strictly prohibited. Such actions violate copyright laws.
Please take note of the dates and times of the exams (to be announced), and do not leave town during the exam period. If student fail to attend any exam, they will not receive credit for this course.
No make-up exams will be given.
